2026 Bear Creek Stewardship Day

Rogue Riverkeeper partners with numerous other groups and individuals to perform trash removal and vegetation management at several locations along the Bear Creek Greenway from Ashland to Central Point.

This spring, Rogue Riverkeeper will be at the mouth of Bear Creek on private land at the confluence with the Rogue River. We will meet at the Pine St. location in Central Point and carpool/caravan to the location at the mouth of Bear Creek. We will be on foot removing trash along the creek and river’s edge and floodplain. Some people will have the option of riding in boats to access different parts of the river and confluence area. PFDs will be provided and required to be worn if one is on a boat.

If you want to join Rogue Riverkeeper at the mouth of Bear Creek, click the button below to register and make sure to choose the location that says “Bear Creek/Rogue River Confluence, Central Point”. Other locations are available to sign up on the same webpage. Find the big green button that says “I am ready to fill out the registration form”.

Partner organizations will be leading clean-up and invasive plant removal at numerous other locations along Bear Creek from north Ashland to Central Point. Use the same webpage to register for other locations and sign up for the one that works for you. Tools, work gloves, snacks, and supplies provided. Wear protective clothing and closed-toe shoes.

This is a collaborative event between Stream Smart Rogue, Jackson County Parks, SOLVE, Bear Creek Stewards, and Rogue Riverkeeper. Rogue Riverkeeper’s work for this project is funded in part by The BottleDrop Fund, a partnership between OBRC and Oregon Community Foundation.
