No LNG, No Pipeline Community Workshop

  • Medford Library 205 South Central Avenue Medford, OR, 97501 United States (map)

Time to tell the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to deny permits again for the Jordan Cove LNG Export terminal and Pacific Connector Pipeline!

On Monday, May 6, Rogue Climate and Rogue RIverkeeper are hosting a workshop to help you learn more about the proposed fracked gas pipeline and export terminal in Oregon and write your comments to FERC on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement.

Help us stop Jordan Cove LNG! In March, the FERC opened a 90 -day comment period for our communities to submit comments about the Jordan Cove LNG export terminal and Pacific Connector Pipeline. This is your opportunity to talk about any of the environmental issues that matter to you and that will be impacted by this project.

Submitting comments to FERC is a complicated process but we are here to help! If you have a laptop, please bring it so that you can submit comments online. We will also have a few laptops on hand so as to help folks type and submit comments immediately.

The evening will consist of a short presentation about the project and the process of submitting comments. Then there will be several opportunities to submit either written or typed comments.

If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to call or email us at 541-488-9831 or

We hope to see you there!

History: A Canadian fossil fuel corporation, called Pembina, is proposing a 229-mile long pipeline and “LNG” terminal to export 1.3 billion cubic feet of fracked gas overseas from Coos Bay, Oregon. The Jordan Cove LNG project would risk the clean drinking water of 150,000 Oregonians, become the largest source of climate pollution in Oregon, and pose a major public safety threat to nearby communities.
