Join Rogue Riverkeeper for a leisurely stroll along Bear Creek to see Chinook Salmon return home to spawn.
Chinook are born in Bear Creek then make their way to the Pacific Ocean to spend several years feeding before returning to their birth place. These amazing fish battle their way up the Rogue River and back to Bear Creek and we are lucky enough to see them at the end of their journey.
These educational strolls are free and great for people of all ages. We will meet near the south parking lot and talk about these fascinating fish as well as a bit about Rogue Riverkeeper's work to protect them. Then we will walk along Bear Creek in search of salmon making their way home.
We hope you can join us!
