Wild & Scenic Trail Work Weekend!
Saturday & Sunday, June 23-25, 2018
9-5pm each day
Hamacker Campground, Upper Rogue River
Join Rogue Riverkeeper and the High Cascades Ranger District Forest Service Trail Crew for a weekend of trail work along the Wild & Scenic Upper Rogue River! The Upper Rogue gets very little recognition for its 40 miles of Wild & Scenic status designated in 1988. The Upper Rogue River Trail follows most of the river along these parts and is in need of some TLC after a long winter.
Forest Service trail crews will give a short training each day on proper trail maintenance and etiquette. Tools will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please bring a lunch, water (we will have water as well), durable work clothes, closed toed shoes, sunscreen and gloves.
Camping for the weekend is optional and we invite everyone to join us for a BBQ celebration Saturday night with guest speakers around the campfire. Please let us know if you would like to attend the BBQ and camp so that we can reserve enough food and space. All camping equipment and meals to be supplied by participants. Port-o-Potties and water will be available both during the day and in the evening.
RSVP's required as space is limited.
